About Us

Mother's Helper was established in 1988 by Lin Cook to help new mothers with the myriad of questions commonly asked about caring for a new baby. Mother's Helper first offered postpartum doula in-home care for new mothers and then later added Bradley Childbirth and Infant Massage classes. Lin also performs labor doula services and breastfeeding consultation. The focus of Mother's Helper is to assist and educate pregnant women and new mothers in a variety of formats.

Certifications
  • Certified Bradley Method® Labor Doula
  • Certified Bradley Method® Instructor
  • Certified in Anatomy and Physiology of Birth
  • Certified Assistant Labor Coach
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

Thank you Lem & June for considering Mother's Helper in your Birth Professional Awards! The winners were well-earned. I was honored to be a finalist!

Like many business owners, Lin wears more than one hat, from being a doula to teaching infant massage classes, which she says help fathers bond with their babies. Many people don’t know that she can also help adopting mothers breastfeed, a hugely rewarding endeavor."
